Stowe is an original log cabin that’s been brought forward without losing what made it worth keeping. White-painted exposed logs, a wraparound deck with string lights, an electric fireplace anchoring the main floor — it’s the cabin that feels most like a cabin, and that’s exactly the point.
It’s one of four cabins at Notestone Reserve, our family-owned 14-acre property in Laurelville, Ohio. Named for Harriet Beecher Stowe — who paid close attention to the world around her and understood that the most important things happen when people are present with each other.
Sleeping: loft king, main floor king, lower level queen. Two full bathrooms — one main floor, one lower level. The main floor has an electric fireplace, dining table, and living area. The lower level has a 65″ Smart TV, arcade machine, and game table.
Outside: wraparound deck with string lights, wood-burning fire pit with firewood, hot tub under the covered lower deck (usable year-round), propane grill. Pack ‘n play available with advance notice.
Dogs welcome — up to 2 per stay, $100 pet fee, leashed on property. Standard driveway — accessible in most vehicles, 4WD/AWD recommended for back roads in winter.
Rock House is 7 minutes. Old Man’s Cave is 20 minutes.

This home is in a rural area of Hocking Hills and 4WD/AWD is recommended during the winter months.
Check-In Type: A keypad is available 24 hours a day to provide entry for guests.
Check-In Instructions: A code will be emailed 1-3 days before your scheduled arrival.
There is ample parking in the drive surrounding the cabin. Additional parking can be found near the community game room.
Self-check in provided for guests. We are available via text, email, or phone call if any needs arise!
While we do not ask guests to strip the beds or gather towels, we do request the house to be left in the same condition it was found (trash discarded, dirty dishes cleaned, empty belongings from fridge, etc). We take great pride in our home and hope you’ll do the same as you leave! Please turn off lights when you leave. Make sure windows and doors are closed and locked. Lock Up – Please lock the front door when you leave.

We welcome up to two dogs per reservation, which must be declared prior to arrival and are subject to an additional pet fee. Dogs must remain leashed when outside, are not allowed on furniture, and must be crated (1 crate is provided) if left unattended in the home.

– Although we do provide free satellite WiFi in the home, we are in an extremely rural area where internet is often spotty – we ask that you come prepared to unplug in the case that the WiFi signal is not perfect during your stay. No refund will be issued for any issues related to the WiFi.
– To preserve the peaceful ambiance of the cabin, events and parties—including bachelor and bachelorette parties—are strictly prohibited. Evidence of unauthorized gatherings may result in immediate removal from the property. Please, no glitter.
– Only registered guests and the number of occupants stated in the reservation are permitted on the property.- Commercial photography/videography is not allowed without prior consent.
– For the safety and well-being of our guests and to protect the natural surroundings, smoking, vaping, fireworks, sparklers, atvs, hunting, and weapons are not allowed.
– Violations of these rules will result in a $300 penalty, plus any additional costs for damages.
– Prior to your stay, we require you to sign & agree to our renter agreement. Additionally, we will place a $300 hold for a security deposit. The security deposit will be released within five days after check out after confirmation of no damage to the property or violation of the rules.
