Hughes is one of four tiny homes in Notestone Reserve's front cluster — lofted queen bed, private hot tub, fire pit stocked and ready. The kitchen runs an RV-size range and oven, full fridge, and a proper coffee setup including a French press. The bathroom has a shower and premium toiletries.
The shared game room is a short walk across the property if you feel like making a night of it.
One thing to know about the loft: the beam above the bed sits about 29 inches from the mattress — just sit up carefully. The loft steps are worth noting too: the rise is uneven, with the last step up being noticeably higher than the others.
Named for Langston Hughes, whose work understood that a small, well-made thing can hold more than something sprawling. We think that applies to rooms, too.

“This place is pristine, located inside the Notestone — a private compound with approximately 10 beautiful properties all appropriately spaced for privacy. The hot tubs are awesome — they light up in different colors and have a waterfall inside. Inside, no expense was spared: from the Moen bathroom hardware to the Eddie Bauer blanket on the sofa, everything is top notch. The bed was extremely comfortable — I can't recall the last time I've had such a good night's sleep. Attention to detail at its finest.”
