The closest trail from Notestone and a genuine favorite for families with kids. A sandstone cave carved into a cliff face — kids can walk right through it. Short trail, big payoff.

Old Man's Cave

The most iconic stop in Hocking Hills. Dramatic gorges, waterfalls, and well-maintained trails. Plan extra time — it's easy to keep exploring. Great for all ages.

Ash Cave
28 min away

Ohio's largest recess cave, and one of the most accessible trails in the park. The upper trail is fully paved — stroller- and wheelchair-friendly. A beautiful, easy walk that works for everyone.

Cedar Falls

One of Ohio's most impressive waterfalls and a favorite for family photos. The trail is a comfortable loop — not too long, not too flat. Great for kids who want to feel like they've earned something.
