Group Cabin Retreats in Hocking Hills

A place for two. A place for six. A place for readers.

Ten private rentals on 14 acres outside Laurelville, every one with its own hot tub and fire pit. Girls’ weekends, book clubs, family reunions — the small, quiet kind of group trip. Book one cabin or several.

The group chat has been planning this for a year.

Here’s the version that actually happens: a cabin with three real bedrooms, morning coffee on a covered porch, a hike at whatever pace the group votes for, and a hot tub waiting when you’re back. Wine on the deck. Nobody drives home tonight.

Three bedrooms and two full baths per cabin — everyone gets real sleep
Private hot tub on the deck, heated and ready at check-in
Fire pit with firewood provided — the after-dinner plan is handled
Full kitchen with island seating for the cooking-together part
Game room with pool table, arcade, and 85″ TV — free for all guests
Trails 7–20 minutes out; Logan’s restaurants and shops 15 minutes
“This beautiful boho cabin was perfect for our girlfriends getaway weekend. Well appointed kitchen for making meals. Lovely porch with views for morning coffee and chats. The hot tub was a welcome treat after long hikes brought on a few sore muscles. The nearby game room was also good fun. Would happily stay again.”

Fourteen acres. The whole family. Separate bedrooms.

The reunion math that works: everyone shares the property, nobody shares a bathroom with twelve people. Four dog-friendly cabins sleep six each, the tiny homes and mirror homes take the couples, and the fire pits do what fire pits have always done for families.

Every cabin is named
for a writer. Come read.

We named all ten rentals after writers who paid close attention to the world around them — Frost, Whitman, Hemingway, Thoreau, and the rest. It was a small choice that turned into something people notice. If your book club has been looking for a reason to actually get away together, this might be it.

Rent one cabin or several A single cabin seats a six-person club comfortably; two or three side by side cover the club that actually shows up.

Private hot tubs + fire pits Each unit has its own outdoor space. Gather for the discussion, scatter for the quiet — the property supports both.

14 private acres of quiet Woods, trails, and no other guests visible. The kind of setting the names on the doors actually wrote about.

Planning a Group Stay, Answered

What organizers ask us before booking multiple units.

Can we book cabins next to each other?
Yes — all ten rentals sit on the same 14-acre property, so every unit is a short walk from every other. Email stay@notestonereserve.com with your dates and we’ll hold the specific units you want, side by side.
How many people can Notestone Reserve host?
Thirty-six across the whole property: four cabins that sleep six each (24), four tiny homes and two mirror homes that sleep two each (12). Two cabins cover a 12-person group; all four cover 24.
Can our book club or small group rent multiple units?
That’s exactly what the property is set up for. Email us your dates and headcount and we’ll hold units side by side, coordinate the check-ins, and quote the group rate directly — one email plans the whole thing.
Do you host parties or large events?
No — Notestone is built for the quiet kind of group: book clubs, girls’ weekends, family reunions. If your plans lean more toward a party venue, we’re honestly not the right fit, and we’d rather tell you now than at check-in.
Is there a discount for booking multiple cabins?
Yes — group discounts apply at 3+ units, and booking direct means no platform fees on top. Email us for a quote; we’ll also hold the units while your group finalizes numbers.
Can we bring dogs on a group trip?
Dogs are welcome in the four cabins (up to 2 per cabin, $100 flat pet fee, pet basket included). The tiny homes and mirror homes are people-only — so on a mixed trip, put the dog owners in the cabins.
