How it works

A pet-friendly stay that actually means something.

All four Notestone cabins — Austen, Hemingway, Sherwood, and Stowe — welcome dogs. Not as a reluctant exception, but as a policy we thought about. There's a welcome basket waiting for your dog when you arrive, and enough outdoor space to matter.

We ask for a few reasonable things in return.

  • ✓Bottled water stocked (for everyone)
  • ✓Pet fee applies $100 flat per stay, up to 2 dogs
  • ✗Dogs stay off the furniture (blankets are down for them)
  • ✗Dogs must be supervised and not left alone to bark
  • ✗Tiny homes and glass homes are not dog-friendly

What's in the pet basket

We stock a small welcome basket for dogs — treats, a water bowl, and a few extras that make the first hour easier.

The cabin itself has blankets designated for pets. We ask dogs stay off the furniture, and the blankets make that easier to enforce.

If your dog has specific needs or you're planning to bring more than one, reach out before booking so we can make sure the setup works for everyone.

The place was amazing. Our family of 5 (plus 1 dog) had plenty of room to relax after a day of hiking. The community game room was a great place as a family. We will definitely be back.

Pet policy details

What we ask of you and your dog.

  • Dogs stay off furniture — pet blankets are provided
  • Dogs must not be left alone in the cabin to bark or cause disturbance
  • You're responsible for cleaning up after your dog on the property
  • Aggressive dogs or dogs with a history of property damage — reach out first
  • Pet fee applies per stay $100 flat per stay, up to 2 dogs
  • Maximum 2 dogs per cabin unless discussed in advance

  • Rock House — 7 min drive (dog-friendly trail, leash required)
  • Ash Cave — 16 miles / 28–30 min drive (some areas dog-friendly, leash required)
  • Conkle's Hollow — 8.8 miles / 15 min drive (gorge trail dog-friendly)
  • Old Man's Cave — 20 min (leash required, some restricted areas)
  • Property grounds — dogs welcome, please clean up
