Glass Homes · Notestone Reserve · Hocking Hills, Ohio

Three walls of glass.
One wall is enough.

Two mirror homes where the forest isn't outside — it's on three sides of your bed. One-way glass during the day. Curtains at night. Private hot tub and fire pit outside.

One-way glass, full privacy, actual forest views.

The glass on three walls is one-way during daylight hours — you see out, no one sees in. At night, the effect reverses, so the curtains do their job. Close them, you're in a private room. Leave them open, you sleep surrounded by trees.

The bathroom is frosted glass with a rain shower head. The queen bed sits in the open studio. The overall experience is harder to describe than a regular room and better than we're doing right now.

Thoreau Glass Home

Muir or Thoreau.

Same glass, same layout, same amenities. Two units with their own quiet personality.

What people ask before they book.

Is the glass actually private?
During daylight hours, yes — the one-way glass means you can see out, but someone walking by can't see in clearly. At night, the effect reverses, which is why the curtains are there. Most guests close the curtains for sleeping and open them when they wake up.
What's the bathroom situation?
Frosted glass walls, rain shower head, full private bathroom. Not a shared or outdoor setup — a proper, private bathroom with premium toiletries.
Is it cold or noisy with all that glass?
The units are insulated and temperature-controlled. Glass homes are comfortable year-round — in fact, the winter view is one of the most popular times to book. As for noise, you'll hear more ambient nature than in a windowless room. Most guests consider that a plus.
Are dogs allowed?
The glass homes are not advertised as dog-friendly. If you have a well-behaved dog and would like to bring them, reach out before booking and we'll talk it through. The dog-friendly cabins (Austen, Hemingway, Sherwood, Stowe) are a better fit for most pet owners.
What's the difference between Muir and Thoreau?
Same layout, same amenities, same glass. Small differences in decor and property positioning. Either works — pick the one that has availability for your dates, or ask us if you're curious about specifics.
