How do I make a reservation?

We can’t wait to host you! Click the “Book Now” option at the top of the page and follow the prompts. If you need any assistance, we’d be glad to help you—just send us an email! Our properties are also available on Airbnb and VRBO, but keep in mind, additional service fees often apply.

We are approximately 62 miles (about 1 hour) southeast of Columbus, Ohio.

Notestone Reserve is centrally located in Hocking Hills with convenient access to major hiking trails and waterfalls. Approximate drive times from 14580 Notestone Road, Laurelville, Ohio:

  • Rock House – ~4 miles | 10–15 minutes
  • Old Man’s Cave – ~13 miles | 25–30 minutes
  • Cedar Falls – ~13 miles | 25–30 minutes

Drive times may vary depending on traffic, construction, and seasonal road conditions.

All cabins are located on the same private property, making it easy to access hiking trails, waterfalls, and local dining within a 15-30 minute drive.

Roads leading to Notestone Reserve include rural and gravel sections typical of Hocking Hills.

  • Accessible by standard sedans and SUVs in normal weather conditions

  • AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended during winter months due to hills, snow, and potential icy conditions

  • We recommend checking weather conditions prior to travel in winter months.

 

Yes. Every property at Notestone Reserve includes a personal hot tub available year-round.. Hot tubs are professionally cleaned between each stay and set to standard temperature prior to arrival.

Pet fees apply. Pets must be disclosed at booking. We provide a welcome basket for your furry friend with treats and waste bags. 

Dogs must remain leashed when outside, are not allowed on furniture, and must be crated (one crate is provided) if left unattended in the home.

Yes! Each property has a dedicated fire pit. We provide firewood and fire starters. Fires must be contained to the fire pit area. Please fully extinguish before going to bed or leaving the property. 🔥

Yes. We provide complimentary firewood and fire starters for each cabin’s fire pit.

Our community game room is a shared amenity available to all Notestone Reserve guests. It includes:

The game room is centrally located on the property just a short walk from all homes. It may be used by multiple groups at the same time.

Yes, all properties have both:

Our properties are comfortable year-round, from snowy winters to humid summers.

Yes. All cabins include satellite WiFi at no additional charge. Due to our rural location, speeds may vary depending on weather and network conditions.

We encourage you to prepare for a more unplugged experience. No refunds will be issued for WiFi-related issues.

Most major carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile) have limited service at our property. Signal strength may vary slightly due to our wooded, rural setting. All cabins include WiFi for added connectivity.

Notestone Reserve uses keyless entry. You’ll receive:

  • Door code via email/text 48 hours before arrival

No need to meet anyone or pick up keys. Go straight to your property and enter using your code.

Our cancellation policy varies by booking platform and season. When booking direct through our website:

  • Cancellations 30+ days before check-in: Full refund minus processing fee
  • Cancellations 14-29 days before: 50% refund
  • Cancellations less than 14 days: No refund

We recommend purchasing travel insurance for flexibility.

Minimum stay requirements vary by season:

  • Peak season and holidays: 2–3 nights
  • Regular weekends: Typically 2 nights
  • Off-season (January–March): 1-night stays may be available

Our properties have varying accessibility levels. Most are not fully ADA compliant due to stairs and outdoor features. Please contact us directly to discuss specific accessibility needs – we’ll help find the best fit or recommend fully accessible options in the area.

We do our best to accommodate early check-in and late check-outs, but cannot guarantee availability. A surcharge may apply. Please reach out to request as needed.

No, this property maintains a strict no smoking or vaping policy, both indoors and outdoors. Violations will result in the forfeiture of your security deposit and may incur additional cleaning fees.

While the property offers full, uninterrupted access, you may encounter other guests on the property grounds. All guests have shared access to the community game room, which includes a large TV, pool table, basketball arcade, arcade games, and more.

For guest safety, we have exterior security cameras focused on driveways and parking areas only. There are NO cameras inside cabins or pointing at hot tubs/private outdoor spaces. Cameras are clearly disclosed before booking. The game room does have an interior camera for property safety. No cameras are actively monitored but may be reviewed if needed. Tampering with or covering either device is strictly prohibited and may result in eviction from the property.

No, we do not require a security deposit.

Our standard cancellation policy applies. However, if there is a Level 3 Snow Emergency in Hocking County that will prevent access to the property, we will provide a full refund.

We pride ourselves in providing you with a luxurious stay and seek to provide the essentials. The properties are fully stocked with linens, towels, kitchen essentials, toiletries, coffee, tea, etc. If you have any particular requests, please reach out and we’ll try to accommodate!

Yes, all reservations require a Renter Agreement to be signed upon booking. A sample can be found HERE*.

Yes! Each cabin has a propane grill with the propane and grilling tools provided!

We provide most essentials including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion, but we recommend bringing:

  • Food and beverages
  • Personal toiletries
  • Swimsuit for hot tub
  • Hiking shoes and outdoor clothing
  • Weather-appropriate layers

Restaurants and grocery stores are approximately 20-30 minutes away.

For swimming, we recommend Lake Logan State Park (20–25 minutes away), which has a designated public beach. Swimming is not permitted in waterfall and gorge areas of Hocking Hills State Park.
